The RFID has enabled a reusable tag that is battery-free, also displays flights data and has a changeable electric paper. This took place on oct 6 2010 after several years of conferences with airports, airlines and also US (TSA), labels, key tags, bands, and many other facilities were there but now this new service will be very helpful for the passengers.
This tag is also known as View tag , in the tag there will be an RFI (radio frequency identification) that will have an id number ,which will be linked to flights information and the bag and it will also show flight and passengers information on the tag , by making the use of RFID , it uses only energizing power.
The view tag is not yet explored to all the airports so the vanguard ID system is promoting this new product as a provisional baggage- tracking elucidation till the rest of the airports and airlines take on RFID readers , so that it will be helpful for everyone. This view tag will be helpful for many like the desktop interrogators at the terminals of aircrafts, and by the reader portals at the aircrafts it will also provide data to the persons without those readers.
This view tag has taken interests of many because of its ability like the associations of airlines and the airlines management. The view tags RFID’s manager said that once the amount of the product is lowered then it will attract more and more customers and it will be seen or used at airports in near future as soon as possible.
All the problems faced before because of the vanguard ID system, which could not identify where and what details about the baggage, can be solved easily. It’s about time that these are implemented soon so that you can travel peacefully thinking that your baggage is safe.
