RFID’s Benefits of Tracking

These days construction companies can easily keep trail of its materials and all the supplies at the jobsites by the help of the new improved technologies like radio-frequency identification or(RFID) ,it is helping these companies to save itself from many loses . Even though there are many obstacles such as the cost of the technology but still there are many other options which can be used reasonably.
Right now there are 3 projects which are going on regarding to the technology of RFID those 3 projects are Texas, FIATECH, Austin all in construction industries. in these projects one of them motivates on leveraging the passive RFID, these passive tabs does have any sources of energy like solar etc. or any kind of a battery but most of the active RFID tabs do have it. Thus it is making the cost effective with its limitations. FIATECH has just recently started doing research for passive RFID of feasibility that is in construction industries. According to FIATECH the passive technology of RFID has limited storage capacity and limited ranges of communication, but the less unit cost and the technical progresses could be a very decent option for the industries.
The value of the technology (RFID) is beginning to be seen by the providers of the technology. The technologies from Sunnyvale and Trimble are increasing its offerings to embrace this technology.
Trimble acquired Thing-Magic recently these are providers of ultra-high frequency (RFID) readers. Thus Thing-Magic will persistently offer the readers of RFID and also offer the customers all the services in a series of vertical and construction industries.
Although the rate of the technology (RFID) is high it is very useful for construction companies for the long run it can be significant. Thus in future it will be very interesting to see actually what happens to the role of RFID in construction industries.
