The internet while being a boon in many areas is also considered a bane in certain fields and activities. One the biggest grey area for which internet has earned a bade name in lack of privacy of client information and user information. While there could be instances of exaggeration there is lot of truth attached to it. Internet is riddled with people of dubious character whose job is to make a fast buck by cheating some ignorant person and by stealing some vital information of his such as bank account, debit card pin details, internet banking password, etc.
Though there are multiple layers of checking systems in place, frauds still continue to happen. A closer look at all these frauds brings out one thing in common. Most of these frauds happen because of lack of knowledge and ignorance on part of the customers and internet users. The basic ground rule that has to be understood is to never compromise on your security while you are on the internet. Never ever share your personal details with anyone on the net. Use your debit and card with care and discretion.
Many of us could find a number of spam mails landing on our inbox asking us to share some personal details such as age, address, bank account number and other details. Never ever fall a victim to these because it would not only result in money being siphoned off from your account but you could be in for more serious trouble such as money laundering, money being routed to terrorist using your bank account as conduit etc.
So, while you are in the internet you have to keep your ears and eyes open. The government and authorities must also be alert in identifying these culprits and nations of the world must cooperate and collaborate with one another to rid the world of this scourge.
